Hi, I’m Allison.

Born and raised in a small town in Michigan. Married to my husband, Andy, and together we have two little girls, a Goldendoodle, a kitten, and 11 chickens. After getting my Master’s degree in Health Education, I spent 7 years working in the non-profit world. While it was overall rewarding work, it was also exhausting worrying about job security. One day, I made a decision to leave that industry and do something completely different – real estate. A week after putting in my two weeks notice, I used the last of my PTO and took a real estate licensing course, took my test two weeks later, and have been a Realtor for 2.5 years. It was the best decision I’ve ever made as it allows me to be home with my family, and the opportunity to travel as I wish.

Andy and I have only been married for 5 years, but man, have we done a lot in those 5 years:

Had a honeymoon baby, plus another

Moved five times

Lived with both of our parents

Built our own home

Started, and ran, businesses….and closed them

And the list goes on…

Through all of these experiences, we’ve learned a heck of a lot. I’m here to share our journey, wish-I-had-known’s related to lots of things, but especially the building of our home, and a mixture of tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, DIY projects, and more. Despite all the trial and error we’ve endured, my hope is you’ll find something here that makes life a little easier and more enjoyable for you and your family.

Cheers,

Allison
